Violet - fall show 2013

The first show of this year's season was Violet, a musical with music by Jeanine Tesori (a member of our advisory board) and libretto by Brian Crawley.  Based on the story "The Ugliest Pilgrim" by Doris Betts, Violet follows  young disfigured Violet Karl as she journeys on a bus from North Carolina to Oklahoma in search of healing.  Our production took a unique spin on Violet's journey as it was physically set in its authentic location, on a bus. Simply put, it was a travel musical that traveled.

For more information about the production contact Producers Kelly Gregg and Brandon Powell or director Sammi Cannold.

The performances were on November 14 & 15 at 7pm and November 16 &17 at 12pm and 5pm.  Pleave visit the show's website for more information.  Photos from the production can be found here.

At the Fountain Theatricals started our first season with a bang by bringing two of Broadway's biggest stars to campus. Over the course of the year, our membership base grew to include both staunch thespians and those new to Stanford's theater scene.
